(I've got fine but thick hair) What's the best way to curl and keep the curls in my hair a

Straight, fine but thick, goes about 5-6 inches passed my shoulders.

I'll curl it with a curling iron, but it only lasts about 30 minutes and because I have so much hair, my curls don't turn out the way I want it to... Like, I'll have to get big curls becuase my hair is heavy or some thing like that.

My friend recommended braiding my hair before I went to bed or twisting it, but it didn't work. HELP?!

(I've got fine but thick hair) What's the best way to curl and keep the curls in my hair all day?

First spray your hair with hairspray

then:

1.straighten you hair

2 section your hair

3 grab small sections of hair and put your ghds on firmly or tightly depending on how curly you want them!

4 pull them down whilst twisting, just like you do when curling ribbon with scissors!

Then spray your hair at the end with hair spray to keep them in all day!

I Just Braided My Hair and Its Really Tight.. Is This Normal?

I Just Got My Hair Braded By an African Woman and its really expensive and took a long time to finish .. I had extensions added to it.. but after she was done it started to really hurt since it was so tight .. My mother said eventually it'll loosen up .. What Do You Think?

I Just Braided My Hair and Its Really Tight.. Is This Normal?

1) Never add more extension hair than the natural hair you intend to braid.

2) Always use a conditioner spray every other day. Just mist away. Your hair has to stay moisturized.

3) Use a light oil every 3 days or so. Make sure you add oil after the conditioner spray. Olive oil, tea tree, peppermint oil are all good ones. No petroleum products.

4) Because you're braiding your hair, there is no need to perm it. Never braid freshly premed hair. It will break while in micros. You must wait at least 2-3 weeks and do a deep conditioning first.

4) Wash your hair every other week at least, regardless of braids or not. Dry, dirty hair will break on you. I used a clear shampoo to avoid excessive slippage and no conditioner since I used a spray every other day. You also may want to air dry loose and tie it down with a silk scarf when slightly damp. Try to skip the hair gel.

5) After about 3 weeks you have to get your edges re-done. The fine hair around you nape and hairline are too fragile for braids to hang loosely from new growth. Also this area is where build-up mostly occurs. Build up will dry out these areas and get hard. The hard clumps make the braid less flexible at the base and more prone to pulling hair from the root.

6) Always tie your hair up at night with a silk scarf. If that's too much for you, sleep on a satin pillow case. You'll avoid overnight damage this way.

7) Clip at least a centimeter of hair between Micros. You also want to Deep condition your hair between micro-ing your hair. I usually, deep condition, trim and rest my hair for about a week to 2 weeks between Micros. My resting styles was a Fro', natural two strand twists or medium cornrows with extension hair.

7) Last but not least, insanely tight braids are not a good thing. It only hurts your follicles. Your braids only need to be so tight. If it hurts after the braider finishes, it's too tight!

I hope this information helps you. Share it with your mother.

I Just Braided My Hair and Its Really Tight.. Is This Normal?

Ive been getting my hair braided for years and after about a week your hair will losen up. they braid it tight so that your hair dosent come out and you need it redone in a few weeks.

I Just Braided My Hair and Its Really Tight.. Is This Normal?

Yes it will loosen up. Start apply a hair oil around your hair line. Dont stratch your head. Pat it. Seriously it works.

I Just Braided My Hair and Its Really Tight.. Is This Normal?

yes it will loosen that how its so posed to feel once when i was little my frien got it done and she said it was so tight she wanted to get it removed but she cept it and after a few days it loosend

I Just Braided My Hair and Its Really Tight.. Is This Normal?

they should not be so tight that they are giving u a headache. even though most of the time when people get braids they are tight they actually should not be because it can pull the hair out of your scalp or damage it. they should be okay but next time tell the stylist to braid them looser.

Any tips on how to braid my hair?

I can do the normal one right down the middle but by the top of my neck i get it really loose somehow, and i also want to know the best ways of braiding it down one side and all the other ways apart from juts down the middle.

Any tips on how to braid my hair?

With patience, a good movie for distraction and some mirrors, you can do most any hair braiding style on your own!

While there are many styles for you to choose from (see below), it's always good to have input and guidance from a professional to help you in between salon visits.

If i get my hair layered can i braid it?

am thinking of layering my hair but would i be able to braid it like i usually do with my normal long hair?

If i get my hair layered can i braid it?

You can still braid it- it might be harder, though, because some sections of hair might not be long enough to stay in the braid with the rest of your hair. Maybe you could get long layers, that might make it easier to braid.

If i get my hair layered can i braid it?

You'll be able to braid you hair just fine there will be areas in your braid where the layers will poke out of the braid. Since your hair is different lengths the shorter hairs, depending on how short your layers are, won't make it all the way to the bottom of the braid.

If i get my hair layered can i braid it?

um..i have the same question! I have knee length hair and o wanna cut some of it too!

If i get my hair layered can i braid it?

it wont look as neat. not unless you put a lot of gunk in your hair to keep the stray hairs from getting loose out of the braid.

If i get my hair layered can i braid it?

how short would it be??

it works when it is first done and then falls out very easily.

let it grow out a bit and my braids are perfect.

if you layer them shorter than you shoulders it will be more difficult to braid

(you can always french braid at the top, but towards the actual braid little pieces fall out,)

If i get my hair layered can i braid it?

it would be hard to braid if u get it layered really short but easie if it is a little bit long....depends on how long/short u want it..i would suggest getting it layered but keeping it long..hope that helps!

:-)

If i get my hair layered can i braid it?

depends.

if you have a lot of layers.

it depends on the length of the shortest layer.

if it fits into the braid,

then yes.

If i get my hair layered can i braid it?

You should, but some peices may fall out. Make sure it's a really tight braid and use some hairspray and bobby pins if you have to.

If i get my hair layered can i braid it?

i do. may have some hairs sticking out of the braid, but no biggie.

If i get my hair layered can i braid it?

Yes you wouldbe able to braid it but unfortuanly with layerd hair you would see hair sticking out from the sides.

But just gel it down if u have to.
