Fast Hair Growth!!!!!!?

I am an african american, and have had kinky twists braids in my hair for 5 weeks, and am going to keep them in for 8 more. I don't know how much my hair has already grown, but does anyone have any home remedies or really good cheap products that works fast. (In like, 3 weeks.)

Thanks!!!!!

Fast Hair Growth!!!!!!?

Well there are a few things that can be one

Wash your hair often (grease and dirt that is trappped can delay growth)

Drink Water!

Eat a multi Vitamin (I use centrum chewables)

use a nice hair growth product ( I HIGHLY reccomend Doo Gro oils)

CONDITION

in no time I believe you will have a significant amount of growth!

Fast Hair Growth!!!!!!?

wild growth hair oil

Fast Hair Growth!!!!!!?

There is no real FAST way to grow your hair. Because you have braids I suggest you keep your hair cleaned, and conditioned. Use a good daily moisturizer like Keracare or Mizani's hairdressing, something light that will not cause oily built up which causes dirt which slows growth. Make sure you eat healthy and take a good multi-vitiman and drink plenty of water, this also helps.Good Luck!

How do i make my striaght hair wavy without using a curling iron?

i have really straight hair and i want it wavy. ive gotten it wavy but it gets all frizzy and it doesnt stay.

i dont want to use a curling iron.

how do i make it wavy?

ive tried braiding it but my hair las alot of short layers and they wont stay in the braids.

and also..would putting it in a bun work the same as the braids?

How do i make my striaght hair wavy without using a curling iron?

You can try scrunching it.

1. Shampoo and condition your hair. When finishing, do your last rinse with cold water.

2. Squeeze the excess water out. Towel/air dry for 10-15 minutes. Divide hair into 3-4 sections. To scrunch it, scrunch your hair from the ends going upward to your roots (like scrunch paper),once you're at the root..secure with a hair clip/claw. You want it damp but not soaking wet or dripping.

3. Wrap your hair in a small towel (for thin hair leave on a few minutes, for thick hair up to 20 minutes). Do not rub your hair at all with a towel(this will cause frizziness).. What you can do is wring it within the towel if the ends are still dripping.

4. Run your fingers like a wide-tooth comb through your hair and make a part as best as you can. Don't worry if it's not perfect!

5. Use hairspray. Put it near the middle and bottom of your hair. Putting it too close to your roots will cause it to look greasy and weighed down.

6. Turn your head upside down so that your hair is hanging down. This step is optional and some prefer to skip it. Helps give volume and a more even scrunch.

7. Put gel/mousse in your hands and rub them together to spread the gel/mousse.

8. Grab a small handful of hair by the ends and push it up toward the head. Hold it in place for a few moments while aiming the hair dryer at it to 'set' the gel/mousse/hair spray.

9. Repeat this all over your head, reapplying the gel every time. Keep in mind that small handfuls yield tighter waves and large handfuls create full, loose waves.

10. Leave hair alone while air-drying if you opt to not blow-dry with a diffuser. If you mess with it too much it will cause frizz.

11. Do not rush the steps or rush to dry it. Letting it dry by itself is a way to leave it with a wet look.

12. Spray an even amount of spray wax at the middle and ends of your hair for more texture. (Pantene Texturize! is great.)

13. Scrunching hair is an easy thing to do and it looks great too:]

* Fine/thin, naturally curly, or chemically-straightened hair may be resistant to scrunching. If this is the case, apply curl-defining mousse or gel to the hair and curl it using a barrel iron.

* For best results, use shampoo, conditioner, and products (gel, mousse, hairspray, etc.) that specifically define curls.

* Take a shower at night. Then apply the mousse and spray. Go to sleep with your hair still slightly wet. When you wake up, your hair will be wavy. To perfect it, get your hair slightly wet all over. Make sure you avoid getting your roots wet. Reapply mousse and spray and you're done.

* If it only works from the middle of your hair down, put it in a regular ponytail.

* Make sure that your hair isn't completely dry or completely wet -- keep it damp. Always press your hair with a towel.

* Some say that adding a pinch of honey to the gel brightens blonde hair and brings out the waviness.

* If your hair is straight, wet your hair and put it in a french braid over night don't forget to put hairspray before you go to bed. Once you wake up take out the braids and your hair should be wavy. Scrunch it with mousse and hairspray and your hair should look scrunchy. If you do this, however, make sure hair is lightly damp as apposed to dripping so that it can dry in the braids overnight.Otherwise, when taking out the braids, you may find your hair hasn't stayed wavy, or won't for long.

How do i make my striaght hair wavy without using a curling iron?

Braiding will break your hair that is why it gets frizzy...

You want small hot rollers. You will need the heat to set the curls.

How do i make my striaght hair wavy without using a curling iron?

wash your hair at night and sleep with braids in while your hair is still wet

How do i make my striaght hair wavy without using a curling iron?

get it wet and put it in braides with clips and bobby pins, ect.

How do i make my striaght hair wavy without using a curling iron?

You could try scrunching it as you dry it that used to work for me will need a lil product in it though

How do i make my striaght hair wavy without using a curling iron?

what i do is wet my hair, then get some curling gel or wateva and scrucnch with hairspray. it ends up looking really nice and quite natural .

How do i make my striaght hair wavy without using a curling iron?

I take a shower and then, without combing my hair, scrunch a little with gel/mousse. Then I divide it into 2 or three sections. Then, I twist the sections into little buns on the top of my head and secure them with hair bands/clips./bobbypins. I then sleep on it. When I take it out in the morning I use a little hairpray and I have cute non-frizzy waves!

How do i make my striaght hair wavy without using a curling iron?

braiding will not break your hair and make it frizzy (that much) but it will make it wavy! especially if you do like 5 little ones.

Also, you can get it CRIMPED by using a crimper or you can get a permanent PERM. Another way, is that you can get your hair wet, put it in a tight bun, and it will leave one big wave in your hair.

How do i make my striaght hair wavy without using a curling iron?

.this sounds crazy, but during the 60's when Cher was all the rage, girls used to set their hair on soup cans to get it straight like hers.

GUess what, it works! a couple of hours looking silly can give you a very nice straight look.

How do i make my striaght hair wavy without using a curling iron?

ok just wet your hair and then scrunch it then put in some gel or moose*sp* and when it drys it will become wavy!

How do i make my striaght hair wavy without using a curling iron?

Try braiding your hair when its wet and go to sleep on it. The next day, you can put some hair product to make it smoother!

How do i make my striaght hair wavy without using a curling iron?

When your hair is wet section it and make tiny swirls - hole in place with a bobby pin (do not pin too much hair or you will get a crease when it dries)

Let your hair air dry and take the pins down. - this gives a natural big loose curl look. Very pretty!

Good luck!

How do i make my striaght hair wavy without using a curling iron?

This is actually much easier than you think...

Just simply buy unless you already own a diffuser which attaches to the end of your hairdryer... after you take a shower comb the knots out of your hair and apply curling gel or scrunching gel to your hair, more heavily at ends as opposed to the roots, when your hair is still wet.

Blow dry your hair witht he diffuser while "scrunching" it with your hands... This will curl your hair... at first it will seem like it is not working very well but once your get your entire head going and as your continue using the diffuser on it and it dries, TRUST me it becomes curly... so if you are only going to waves use less curling gel and don't use the diffusert he entire time...

ALTERNATIVE::

when your hair is wet, instead french braid it, then sleep with it like that and the next morning when you wake up, take the braid out, comb through any knots and wha-la! your hair will have that natural wavy, beach look that LC has..

How do i make my striaght hair wavy without using a curling iron?

After you have washed it, put some leave-in conditioning cream in your hair and then dry with a hairdryer.

While drying, scrunch your hair up in the palm of your hand.

Works a treat!

The leave - in conditioning cream should sort out the frizziness, and also help to set the waves in place.

Also, if your hair dryer has a cool setting, make sure you go over your hair with that AFTER you have dried it. That also helps rid you of any frizziness, and helps set the waves.

Good luck!

How do i make my striaght hair wavy without using a curling iron?

using curling spray and blow dry

How do i make my striaght hair wavy without using a curling iron?

you could try washing it then "scrunch drying" it - put a generous amount of frizz ease serum on your hands and rub them together a bit to warm it up then run it through your hair when wet then towel dry so its not dripping then apply a small amount of mousse (use a volumising one) then get the diffuser for your hairdryer and scrunch your hair as you drying adding a little hairspray slong the way (make sure its a good non stick hairspray or your hair will go all hard and nasty when its 90% dry take the diffuser off and run your fingers through your hair while drying with the hairdryer and add a little more serum to the ends when you are finished just make sure you dont use too much product and dont do it all the time!

How do i make my striaght hair wavy without using a curling iron?

scrunch it

How do i make my striaght hair wavy without using a curling iron?

you could get a perm i guess..

How do i make my striaght hair wavy without using a curling iron?

Why would you use a CURLING iron to make your hair straight?

African american women , hair help please?

my hair is falling out , don't know why but i was thinking about getting braids..will the braids make my hair fall out more ?

African american women , hair help please?

I have a belly button that I pee out of

African american women , hair help please?

Braids help my hair grow out. but you have to put hair conditioning in it to keep it from getting so dry.

African american women , hair help please?

If your hair is fragile and breaks off easily getting braids wouldn't be your best bet. Unless its zillions or single braids. Braids straight to the back will only pull your edges up and off.

African american women , hair help please?

maybe u need a better conditioner....or maybe your hair is shedding like mine....................no the braids will not make your hair fall out more it actually makes ppl hair grow............

African american women , hair help please?

I would use a good leave in conditioner and moisturizer, not braid my hair too close to my scalp, and not leave the braids in too long.

Make sure the moisturizing product doesn't have alcohol in it, as this will dry out your hair, many do!! African Gold Super Sure Grow is a 100% natural product with coconut oil and other good stuff, it works well, as well as Ultra Sheen for extra dry hair.

Have you looked into why your hair is falling out? I'd consult a specialist, and make sure your body isnt lacking some essential vitamins or something.

Hope this helps.

African american women , hair help please?

You can get braids but if your hair is weak and falling out you may just want to get it treated. My friend has an all natural hair care company...You can visit her website and/or email her there and she can give you some great tips on what to do-

Or even call her....take care-

African american women , hair help please?

Is your hair falling out or breaking off? If it's falling out you will see a small white bulb on the scalp end of the hair called the folicle. If a lot of hair is falling out, you probably should see the dermatologist or examine your diet. You may need more protein. If it's falling out, braids won't help. When you remove the braids, the hair will still come out.

If it's breaking off because of stress, styling or chemicals, braids are a good idea. Having the braids will give your hair some rest. Keep in mind that you still need to condition your hair. You can use something like Infusium spray leave in conditioner.

Don't get the braids too tight or leave them in too long. Also, unless you have to, don't add in extra hair. Human hair tends to pull moisture from your hair and synthetic hair doesn't look as good as human hair.

Hope this helps u

African american women , hair help please?

Hi. I feel you. I had the same problem. Normally you lose between 50-100 hairs daily, but if its excessive, you need vitamins. You should take a multivitamin and a separate hair vitamin like GNC healthy hair nails and skin. When taking hair vitamins, be careful of taking the high dose ones because it might be too much (some people do that thinking their hair will grow faster).

Braids do make your hair grow, but it depends. Get medium braids. Dont get micro braids, you will lose your hairline and more hair. Dont get big braids - they will put too much pressure on your scalp. Dont let anyone braid it too tight. And dont go cheap either. Those cheap african hair salons will not do. No offense, I had a very bad experience with them. I went from midback to mid-neck hair. Imagine taking out braids and having your all your hair fall out and break off into knotted clumps. Go to someone who deals with natural hair care to braid your hair. The more money you pay, the more care that stylist will give you. Moisturize daily if you get braids. Dont let it dry out, it will dry your hair and you WILL have problems.

You should drink lots of water daily and be proactive in a healthier diet with more fruits and vegetables. There are a few websites that have helped me greatly. You should check it out. It will show you how to take care of your hair better, how to shampoo, how to comb, and lots more.

www.growafrohairlong.com - natural, relaxed and braid hair care

www.motowngirl.com - natural hair care

I have also changed the products that I use because lots of products out here have chemicals that just dry my hair out and then gives my hair problems and more hair loss. Keeping your hair moisturized is a big factor in having less hair loss. Here are some websites to browse:

www.sizta2sizta.com

www.sistasplace.com

www.curls.biz

www.curlicious.com

www.janecartersolution.com

www.qhemetbiologics.com

www.honeyfig.com

www.nasabb.com - they have free sample pack 4.00 for shipping. The shea butter is great for moisturizing hair. I mix it with Africas Herbal best oil.

You should also deep condition once a week. It will keep your hair strands strong. Hope this helps somewhat. God bless.

Should I wash my hair now? I will not have another chance until after January?

at the begining of November I got a relaxer, then 2 weeks later my cousin wanted to put braids in my hair going back, and she put grease in my hair. Last week I took the braids out, and now my hair at least looks normal, like it does not look dry or frizzy as it usually does. But I have to leave my college campus for the christmas break on Friday and I will not have access to wash my again until I can return to campus at the end of January. So should I wash my hair this week? I just don't want it to look dry/frizzy again, which will likely happen if I wash it, now that it at least looks normal. I also do not want to blow dry it; I just want to let it dry naturally. And the only shampoo/conditioner I have is that vo5 split ends kind.

Should I wash my hair now? I will not have another chance until after January?

I think you should wash it. You don't want your head getting itchy. you can always add some oil to it after you shower or leave in the conditioner.

Should I wash my hair now? I will not have another chance until after January?

why wont you be able to wash it until january???

Should I wash my hair now? I will not have another chance until after January?

Well, I think you should wash it for hygiene reasons. Just use lots of the conditioner, leave it in for about 10 minutes. Also get some smoothing serum to put on after (when damp, not wet). And don't blow dry. Let it dry naturally (preferably outside, away from heat which causes frizz).

Should I wash my hair now? I will not have another chance until after January?

maybe try putting something in it that wont make it oily but i would deff. wash it for hygene i wash mine everyday. when was the last time you washed it. why wont u be able to wash it.

Should I wash my hair now? I will not have another chance until after January?

wash it and re-grease it. Use like olive oil or v itamine e oil.. Letting it go that long is kinda unhygenic..

Should I wash my hair now? I will not have another chance until after January?

WASH IT! it'll get itchy if you dont!

Should I wash my hair now? I will not have another chance until after January?

Please wash you hair that is a long time to wait. You should at least wash it once a week. I know how you feel, you need to invest in olive oil hairspray and that should help with the frizz and a good conditioner

Should I wash my hair now? I will not have another chance until after January?

they make this dry shampoo i use it when i go camping it works great

I want wavy hair...?

I want to make my hair a little bit wavy. I tried scrunching it when it was wet with a little Dove mousse and a hair dryer, but it did nothing to my hair. I've even considered braiding it but my hair might not be long enough and a friend of mine said it would look like a gir'ls hair. So could someone explain to me better how to scrunch my hair and maybe some products that would help?

I want wavy hair...?

There are some perms that you can get to make your hair wavy. There is different types of wavy perms, so go to a salon and ask for a wavy one because there are some that makes your hair super curly, So be careful of what you ask for. Hopefully I help you out.

Garnier Fructis shampoo and conditioner with thermasilk leave in conditioner. Blow dry it with the leave in conditioner.

P.S.

Are you sure your friend can braid? My hair is super thick, too, but I can braid it.

I got thick thick hair, black hair, ive been growin it for like 5 months and tryin to braid it?

you could try a perm for youngsters. this way it won't be completely straight (unless that's what you want) and can fro it out later. The only problem with a perm though is the fact that its not for everyone, and if it is not taken care of there may be breakage and hair loss. You may find a straightening come to be better for you..
