Franch Braid Your Own Hair?

my mom doesn't know how to french braid and I would really like to do it to myself. I know how to french braid but when it comes to doing it to myself, I can't! They always end up too low and they never look right. (I want them in pigtail braids).

Practice a lot. It took me awhile to get it to look right since I couldn't see what I was doing, but I eventually got it right. Take small pieces of hair. Like it seems like you are taking less than you really are, so take smaller sections than you think you need. That helped me a lot. I would just practice while watching tv or something, and then go check a mirror to see how I did. I could always do my friends hair better than my own, but they never really picked it up well enough to do mine, so I just worked on it myself.

ugh i know what you mean.. its hard to do them on yourself, try to do the beginning of the braid at the very front of your head and pull it tight so that the rest will come out the same and then the whole braid will come out nice and tight to your head not loose and messy
