Right, now I have braids. I had them since the beginning of Jan and they still look nice.....I want to take them out. I'm natural and I'm growing my hair out, it's kinda short but it grew another inch or two... I might get my braids done again or get my hair in a curly afro weave like this:

Hey girl...I do weaves so I can prob help you out....

I love the curly wavy look...it can be a very sexy hairstyle...However, you have to be very good with maintaining your curly weaves cause it is a pain and not as care free as braids...

I would recommend a wavey instead of a curly...cause it will be easier to take care of...Also, since your hair is coarse...it willbe best to get a ful sew in weave...

You natural hair will not be showing so it will grow better and not get damaged...Plus there will be not issues with blending in your hair with the weave...

i think black grlz look gorgeous in braids. and im not a fan of that fro. but be carefull about how long u leave ur braids in especially if ur trying to grow ur hair out, because i was told it causes alot of damage to ur hair, and makes it very weak, and it breaks off easy. :/ be careful. and good luck! ;)

You could try doing a straw set, kinky twists or cornrows. All of them are low manipulation styles, which will help you retain more growth.

You should check out this site: http://www.nappturality.com there are lots of member submitted styles all over the site, and that should give you enough ideas to last a life time. You could always choice to rock your natural hair in a twist-out or braid out, those are always cute.

By the way, don't listen to that first poster. I'm sure a fro would gorgeous on you, as that is how our hair naturally grows from our scalp, and I'm not just saying that because I have one, I'm saying that because it is true.

my hair looks like pic one after i had micro braids for 1 yr and a half.growing out for me was soooooo hard.no perms,trying figure out what products works.UNTIL i started using miss jessies products.that stuff made my fro grow.
